Two friends, one shared obsession with books, and a problem that kept waking up our partners at night.
It started the same way for both of us. Late at night, deep into a book we couldn't put down — and then the inevitable whisper from the other side of the bed: "Can you please turn off the light?"
We tried everything. Tiny clip-on lights that were too dim to read by. Bright bedside lamps that lit up the whole room. Reading on our phones, which just made our eyes ache and kept us awake even longer.
One evening we found a simple reading lamp online and thought — why isn't there a better version of this for people who actually love to read? Something beautiful, warm, and designed specifically for the kind of reader who stays up just a little too late chasing one more chapter.
That's when TheReadLife was born. We're not a big corporation — we're just two people who love books and wanted to build something that makes the reading experience genuinely better. For every reader who refuses to stop at a reasonable hour.
